Patricia Goudreau

Patricia Goudreau resides on an acreage beside the North Saskatchewan River near Calmar, Alberta with her husband Landon and two of her children, Eryn and Joel.  Her older daughters, Andi and Sydni now reside in Devon and Edmonton.  The family is very active and has had a family ski hill built on their property where the children learned to ski while very young.  Other family hobbies include reading, bike riding, exercise, cooking, yoga, travel, swimming, horseback riding, motocross riding, car racing and flying.

Patti’s work background began in the Travel & Tourism industry following graduation from college.  After leaving that industry, she began working as an assistant to an Engineer and then became a legal assistant where she spent several years working in Edmonton law firms mainly in the areas of family law and personal injury.  After the birth of her daughter Sydni, the family moved to their acreage near Calmar and Patti became a full time mom with the birth of two more children shortly after.   Upon moving to the country, Patti quickly became involved in the development of the acreage where the family resided.  She and her husband also run a development company and are involved in many projects.

A passion for Patti is volunteer work and Patti has volunteered for the Parent Teacher Association at the Preschool, Elementary and Secondary schools for the past 18 years. Other positions include cooking leader through 4H as well as volunteering at the Beaumont Horse Trials through the Black Creek Pony Club.

Patti has also studied interior design and landscape design and has taken many courses at the University of Alberta Botanical Garden.  She also loves art and expresses her creativity through her many landscaping projects which include pond building, the design and building of garden boxes, perennial beds, rock gardens, herb gardens and much more.  Since moving to the country property, Patti has planted over 150 trees, shrubs and perennials on their land and has recently taken her Master Gardening Course through Dalhousie University.

Patti’s love of art has compelled her to visit many famous art galleries in recent years including the Kelvingrove Art Gallery in Glasgow, Scotland as well as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.  In her role as Curator at the Zyp Art Gallery, Patti is excited to meet many talented artists and curate their beautiful, creative and interesting art exhibits!!
